Greenland is developing rapidly. To become an active part of that development, COWI has opened an office in Nuuk. The office provides consultancy within all of COWI's fields of expertise. Over the years, COWI has carried out more than 400 projects in Greenland. Business development, spatial planning, transport planning, infrastructure, environment and building are some of the areas in which COWI provides consultancy. Currently COWI is assisting the Greenland Home Rule to develop a housing strategy for Greenland, divided into villages and settlements. Part of the strategy is a technical and financial plan for the renovation of the Home Rule's housing properties. COWI has also performed a number of analyses, most recently of the effect of freight charges on residential construction.Recently COWI assisted Greenland's Transport Commission with developing a sustainable transport policy. COWI is also currently developing the digital platform for the four Greenlandic municipalities to prepare digital plans. All of COWI's services are represented in the office in Greenland. Please contact Office Manager Kim Hvistendahl or any of the contact persons within the specific areas (see below) for more information.
