For the next two weeks, more than two hundred governments are meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, to discuss how to tackle climate change globally. Environmental charities, community groups, think tanks and private companies will also participate in the two-week-long summit, including COWI.
UN climate summits are held every year for governments to take action towards achieving the world’s collective climate goals.
COP is an abbreviation of “Conference of the Parties”. The parties are the attending countries that signed up to the original UN climate agreement in 1992.
COWI has sent a delegation, where some will participate in a round-table discussion and panel debates, and everyone will meet with partners and customers to discuss the urgent measures needed to combat the climate crisis. Based on our FUTURE-NOW strategy, we hope to inspire others and, in collaboration, continue to use and implement environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions worldwide.
